PAMM fees
Every PAMM strategy sets its own fees. You’ll find them on the strategy’s page under Before you invest, and they’re shown again before you confirm an investment. Read them there rather than assuming: two strategies can look alike and charge very differently.
The fees a strategy can set
| Fee | What it is |
|---|---|
| Performance fee | A share of the profit the strategy makes for you, worked out over a set period such as monthly. |
| Management fee | A charge for having your money managed. |
| Volume fee | A charge linked to how much the strategy trades. |
| Early exit fee | A charge for withdrawing before the lock-in period ends. It can never be more than 5%. |
| Lock-in period | Not a fee, but a number of days after you invest. If you withdraw before it ends, the early exit fee is charged. |
A strategy doesn’t have to use all of these. Check which ones it does before you invest.
When fees are taken
Fees are settled at a rollover. If you’re withdrawing at that rollover, fees are settled first and your withdrawal is paid after, which is one reason the amount you’re paid can differ from the estimate you saw when you asked. See Rollovers and pending requests.
Seeing what you’ve been charged
The Fees section of your investment’s statement lists every fee actually charged to you, with its date and amount.
Your investment page also shows Fees awaiting settlement. If that reads Not reported, it means nothing has been reported yet. It does not mean the figure is zero.
More on the statement in Your investment page and statement.
For managers
You set the fees when you create the strategy. The early exit fee is capped at 5%. The lock-in period is set in days, and it is what decides when the early exit fee applies.
Your fee income is on the strategy’s Fees tab under My strategies. It totals fees per currency and splits them in two:
- Charged is the fee worked out for an investor.
- Collected means it has actually been taken from the investor’s holding.
Below the totals is a list of every fee event with its date, the investor, the amount and what happened. Fees are paid to your wallet, which is separate from both figures above.
If you’ve agreed a share of your fees with a partner, that share comes out of your fee, not on top of what the investor pays. See Strategy partners.
