Mega1

Mega1 is the XBTFX browser platform. There is nothing to install and nothing to download. You open it from the client portal and it runs in the browser tab, on macOS, Windows, Linux, Android or iOS.

Opening the terminal

Go to Accounts in the portal and find the Mega1 account you want to trade. Trade opens the terminal on that account. Access does the same from the confirmation dialog when you have just created one.

There is no separate platform password. The portal login you already signed in with is what gets you into Mega1, which is the main practical difference from MetaTrader 5. A Mega1 account ID starts with MEGA-, and it identifies the account rather than logging you in to anything.

If you hold several Mega1 accounts, each row on the Accounts page opens its own terminal session, so check which account is loaded before you place an order.

What is in the terminal

The interface puts the working parts of a desktop terminal into the browser:

  • Live quotes, and multi-chart layouts so several symbols stay in view.
  • Order controls, with your open positions listed beside them.
  • Market depth, for the book behind the current price.

Contract sizes, lot limits and trading hours all come from the same symbol data described in Symbol Specifications, so a symbol behaves identically whichever platform you open it on.

Automation and the native API

Mega1 has its own API. It covers current quote snapshots, historical candles, authenticated streaming where that is enabled, previewing and placing supported orders, and working with orders and positions. Everything it does is bounded by the account context and permissions attached to the credentials you connect with, so a credential cannot reach an account it was not issued for.

That makes it the connection point for anything you build yourself: a strategy, a monitoring dashboard, a specialist interface, or an agent driven workflow written with an AI coding assistant. Mega1 does not include a strategy builder of its own. You build elsewhere and connect.

Two different APIs

The Mega1 native API is not the same thing as the XBTFX Trading API documented at docs.xbtfx.com, which uses keys issued at console.xbtfx.com. Access to either depends on your account and permissions. Ask through the chat widget which applies to yours.

Managed and copied accounts

Eligible Mega1 accounts work with the XBTFX Invest products, so a Mega1 account can follow a strategy through Copy Trading, or sit inside a MAM or PAMM structure run by a money manager. Eligibility and terms vary by product, and the Invest section covers each one.

An account inside a MAM structure has no Trade action on its row in the portal. That is expected: the manager trades it, you fund it and watch it. An account that is copying a strategy keeps its Trade action, because it is still your account to trade.

Something in the terminal not behaving? Open the chat widget with the account ID and what you were doing when it went wrong.
